i would ask if you're okay, but you're a black metal and dark ambient musician. we know the answer's no. people like you and me shouldn't be so ashamed of it.

overall this thing kills. looks like two monsters about to kill each other with an annoyed onlooker not knowing what to do, except one's actually full of people.

mario's sure screwed now!

Dhoodworthy responds:

Haha, It took me a min. priceless

haven't seen one of these in a long time. nice and dulled colours, good dark focus. a shame more people don't see this kind of thing.

genius use of a meme. more please.

HummusGod responds:

Thank you very much! I really love that meme but I kinda relate to it a little too much lmao. Thats like the first reaction image I use when I am distraught.

simple but effective. good contrast. looks like an audacity databend to me. i wonder what the original image was..

HummusGod responds:

Thank you so much! I don't know if it's a faux pas to say I use audacity lol but its my favorite form of databending. I got really into it a few years back and I have been improving my methods for a while now. So, the background is a photo I took at an abandoned dormatory and I manipulated the raw data taking chunks and displacing them in various places. I then color shifted it to a nice purple. The Foreground is a staff photo I was a part of. I took the silhouettes and layered them over a previous work I made (P sure it was the one titled "Despair" lol) for some good textures. Layered everything and adjusted the colors in Paint.net.

stop it, you're gonna make me want to spend time drawing!

curves like that don't seem easy to pull off. nor does that level of detail. i have a feeling you deliberately went for black-and-white and it wasn't down to laziness...

Chevrium responds:

thank you! and if my drawings make you want to draw than please do. i so much prefer hearing that I've inspired people as opposed to those who say that they get intimidated out of drawing by seeing my stuff.

also, as far as the medium of choice, I thought about it long and hard and honestly it actually is a bit of laziness on my part lol. or maybe that's too hard of a word? practicality also works. I love pen and ink stylisticly and I'm proud of the stuff I did using it, but the fact of the matter is that I would do all of my traditional work in ballpoint, graphite, and coloured pencil if it wasn't for the fact that it results in drawings that take 50+ hours to create, and I simply do not have enough time in a week to commit every idea that pops into my head to the most meticulous detail.

hey, i didn't break anything!

bloody good use of detail and colour. the chromatic aberrations go very well with the messed up black lines. you left nothing untouched! things like this make me shudder with respect.

genius and gritty. thanks for the viewing instructions, that made me like it even more.

why the hell did you call this an eyesore? i'm not sure if the bending was accidental, but if it wasn't, that addes to the overall weirdness of it and makes it much trippier. i have to stare for a while to look at it and i enjoy that since i don't think it's meant to grab attention instantly.

if i can zoom in and see so much detail, that's a plus in my book. you should apply this to some of the subjects of your other drawings - how about a monster that crumbles to pieces slightly to reproduce?

vile machine spitting out failed online camouflage patterns; take no notice unless you're a masochist or an explorer. all my 'works' are free to abuse because they're shit.

BEHIND YOU. LAUGH.
